Lord Abbett Limited, established in the United Kingdom, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC, one of the oldest independent investment management firms in the United States. Lord Abbett Limited aims to extend Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC tradition of performance through disciplined investing to U.K. investors.
Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC is one of the leading mutual fund managers in the U.S. The Firm, an independent partnership, was founded in 1929 and was one of the pioneers of the U.S. mutual fund industry. As of 30 June 2008, Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC managed in excess of $96.6 billion in U.S. mutual funds, institutional and individually managed accounts.
The Lord Abbett group represents a wealth of experience in investment management. We believe that this, combined with an unyielding focus, is what is needed to achieve success for our clients, which is our ultimate goal. Through Lord Abbett Limited we are able to offer five funds to U.K. investors: four equity funds and one fixed-income fund. Each is a sub-fund of a U.K. umbrella open-ended investment company (OEIC).
